Major Arcana · XXI
The World Tarot Card Meaning
- completion
- integration
- accomplishment
- wholeness
The World upright
The World is the closing of one great circle. Integration, completion, a sense of having arrived. Pause and honour how far you have come — and feel, quietly, the next circle beginning.
The World reversed
Reversed, The World points to a cycle almost — but not quite — complete. A final thread remains. Do not abandon the work at the threshold; the wholeness you seek is one breath away.
How to read The World
The World is card XXI of the 22 Major Arcana. When a Major Arcana card appears, readers give it extra weight: it points to one of the bigger lessons or turning points of the moment.
Upright, let its keywords guide the reading: completion, integration, accomplishment, and wholeness.
Reversed, the same themes are usually blocked, delayed or turned inward. Read the reversed meaning above with that in mind.
