Past, Present, Future

The three-card spread is the classic way to read the arc of a situation. Each card sits at a point in time, so the reading shows how your story connects — and what might change if you act on it.

What each position means

  1. 1PastThe roots of the situation: the events and choices that brought you here.
  2. 2PresentWhere things stand right now, including what you may not have noticed yet.
  3. 3FutureWhere things are heading if nothing changes — a likely direction, not a fixed fate.

Frequently asked questions

Is this tarot reading really free?

Yes. Every spread on this page is free, with no account and no sign-up. If you sign in, your readings are saved so you can come back to them.

How is my reading written?

Once your cards are turned over, the reading is written for your exact draw: each card, its position in the spread, whether it came up reversed and the question you asked. No two readings are the same.

What does a reversed card mean?

About one card in three lands upside down. A reversed card usually softens, delays or turns inward the meaning of the upright card, and your reading takes it into account.

Can tarot predict the future?

Tarot works best as a tool for reflection: it helps you look at a situation from a new angle. Treat your reading as food for thought, not as a prediction or as professional advice.

Can I read with a deck of my own?

Yes. Create a personalized deck starring your pet or the people you love, and every reading here can use your own cards.
