The Elder Futhark is the oldest known runic alphabet, used across northern Europe between roughly the 2nd and 8th centuries. It contains 24 runes — Fehu, Uruz, Thurisaz, Ansuz, Raidho, Kenaz, Gebo, Wunjo, Hagalaz, Nauthiz, Isa, Jera, Eihwaz, Perthro, Algiz, Sowilo, Tiwaz, Berkano, Ehwaz, Mannaz, Laguz, Ingwaz, Dagaz, and Othala. Each rune card in your deck features a carved Elder Futhark glyph and a Norse-mythic scene where you (or your pet) embody the rune's meaning. Your deck also includes 20 cards for the gods and worlds the runes come from — Odin, Frigg, Thor, Freyja, Freyr, Loki, Baldr, Heimdall, Idunn, Skadi, Hel, Njord, Yggdrasil, the Norns, Huginn & Muninn, Bifröst, Valhalla, Sleipnir, Fenrir, and Ragnarök.

A clear, front-facing portrait with good lighting works best. Make sure your face is visible and not obscured by sunglasses or hats. Pets work too — they'll be placed inside the Norse-mythic scene as a companion or central figure.

Each rune is created at 300 DPI in high resolution, suitable for both digital use and professional printing. We tune every set for detailed, mythic, painterly results in the Norse-mythic style.

Second, printed sets include production costs. Sets are cheap when mass-produced, but printing one unique set with one unique design is much more expensive.
