Spiritual gifts

Why oracle cards make an easy spiritual gift

Tarot asks for some learning: 78 cards, suits, reversals. Oracle cards ask for nothing. You shuffle, draw a card and read its message. That makes an oracle deck one of the easiest spiritual gifts to give, even to someone who has never held a deck before.

A personalized oracle deck goes further. Every one of the 44 cards is made from their photo, so the encouragement on each card comes with their own face, or their dog's. People use it for a morning card, for journaling or simply as a beautiful thing to keep on the bedside table.

Because the messages are positive and the cards are beautiful, an oracle deck also works for people who wouldn't call themselves spiritual at all. It is simply a moment of reflection at the start of the day, with a familiar face looking back. For pet lovers, the Whiskers & Wisdom Pet Oracle puts their animal at the heart of every message instead.

Questions, answered

What is the difference between oracle and tarot cards?

Tarot has a fixed structure of 78 cards with traditional meanings. Oracle decks are freer: each card carries its own message. Our oracle decks have 44 cards.

Is an oracle deck a good gift for a beginner?

Yes, it is the easiest place to start. There is nothing to learn before drawing the first card.

Can I gift the pet oracle?

Yes. Our gift link works with the Personalized Oracle and the Whiskers & Wisdom Pet Oracle; they add the photo themselves.

Is it digital or printed?

Either. A digital deck is delivered by email; printed decks are made to order and shipped worldwide.

How do people use an oracle deck day to day?

Most draw a single card in the morning and keep its message in mind through the day. Others pull a card when facing a decision, or use the card as a prompt for a few lines of journaling in the evening.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your custom oracle deck

What are oracle cards?
Oracle cards are intuitive guidance cards — more free-form and accessible than tarot. Our deck has 44 unique cards across 4 categories: Soul's Journey (inner growth), Elements & Nature (natural forces), Sacred Guidance (spiritual wisdom), and Light & Shadow (balance and healing). Every card features your face.
Is my deck really one-of-a-kind?
Yes. Your deck starts from your own photo, so every card is unmistakably them — no two decks are alike, and yours is never reused. You choose the style, see the first card free before deciding, and can edit any card for free until it's exactly right. Commissioning a personal deck elsewhere typically costs $1,100–$25,000 and takes months. Yours is ready in minutes as a digital edition, and printed editions are made to order, just once, for you.
What kind of photo works best?
A clear, front-facing portrait with good lighting works best. Make sure your face is fully visible and not obscured by sunglasses or hats. Higher resolution photos produce better results.
What is the quality of the personalized cards?
Each card is created at 300 DPI in high resolution, suitable for both digital use and professional printing. We tune every deck for detailed, artistic results.
Does the deck come with a printed guidebook?
Only the Collector's Edition includes a printed companion guidebook. Every other deck comes with a personalized digital guidebook delivered as an email and a private web page, plus access through our mobile app — so your card meanings are ready wherever you are. The mobile app also lets you draw cards, run spreads, and do full readings with your personalized deck.
What influences the price of your decks?
There are two main factors. First, every deck is made individually from your photo using specialized creative systems tailored to the product, which is what delivers the quality you see. Second, printed decks include production costs. Decks are cheap when mass-produced, but printing one unique deck with one unique design is much more expensive. We create your deck only for you, and it is only produced once (unless you order copy decks). That is what makes printed decks premium. If you'd like to order 1000+ decks of the same design, please contact us at support@tails-ai.com and we'll beat any store's per-deck price.
How long does shipping take for the printed deck?
Printed decks are produced on premium 350gsm card stock and ship within 14-21 business days. Free worldwide delivery is included with every printed order.
What is your refund policy?
Every order comes with free edits in our built-in editor, so you can regenerate anything you don't love until it looks just right — and you can grab more edits anytime. Refunds are reserved for technical issues our team can't resolve, so if you ever get stuck, just email support@tails-ai.com and we'll sort it out.
What is the difference between the options?
Every edition includes all 44 cards. Digital is a download of high-resolution card images, ready in minutes; the print-ready PDF adds a document sized for standard card stock so you can print locally. Want a real deck in your hands? Choose a printed edition: Standard on smooth card stock, Deluxe on premium 350gsm stock with a velvet pouch, or the Collector's Edition with foil-finished sides, a magnetic keepsake box, and a printed guidebook. Current prices are shown with each edition above.
